Wow, now that was a hot show!
Our Saturday night performance at
Paper Mill Island Amphitheatre in Baldwinsville was a great time, but one of the most physically demanding shows we have ever played. It was 90º outside, but with the sun in our faces, no breeze and the warm concrete stage, it had to be at least 110º on stage.
But it was a hot show in other ways, too - we really
rocked the crowd that came out to see us and the headliner
Elevation, the U2 tribute band from Toronto. Those guys did an amazing job, especially with thier lead singer not being in full voice all night. Lots of our friends came out to see us, and we thank every one of you for hanging out with us. Good times all around.
And after the show we had a kickin' time with the Elevation boys over at
Lake Effect. They had some great stories and — like most Canadians I've met — were just a great bunch of guys and a lot of fun to pound beers with.
Thanks to Joanie & Rachel for the pics.
See, Steve, I made it through the entire post without once mentioning your green flag pit stop.
