Hear Neil Young's new CD

Listen to the whole thing streaming online. I've gotten through 4 or 5 tunes, and it's some good stuff. Not surprisingly the lyrics have quite a political (anti-Bush) bent, but the music is solid, interesting, and creative. Nice!

Organic adult beverages

In honor of Earth Day, here's a bunch of spirit manufacturers that are now making organic versions of their beverages. Pretty interesting.

Listen to new CDs on AOLMusic

This is a really cool feature. You can listen to entire CDs online through AOL Music. There's a wide variety of discs - indie, country, soundtracks, techno, just about anything you want. Listen to particular tracks or stream the whole CD.

I just finished listening to the Sid'N'Suzie CD I mentioned on Friday (from Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs), and right now I've got a cool CD from Mat Kearney pumping through my headphones.

Always changing, and always current, this is a great resource. Make it a favorite and come back often.

Love Monkey on VH1 tomorrow

Love Monkey, the show that was cancelled after only 3 or 4 shows makes its way to VH1. As it's based on the life of an A&R rep of a record label, it's kind of interesting to us music guys and features Rochester's own Teddy Geiger.

Johnny Cash may be gone, but he will be a constant presence in the new-release bins at record stores throughout the year, thanks to several projects being overseen by his son.

Do you know T Bone Burnett?

“I figured out early on what I wanted to do,” says T Bone Burnett. "I got out of high school, bought a recording studio and started operating it as an engineer and a producer. When I started out I wanted to be Burt Bacharach. Write tunes. Produce music. Be married to Angie Dickinson.”

At least he's two for four.
