Sometimes the British just annoy me

And rock critics are also often the target of my wrath.

So when you get British rock critics telling us about the bands they think are overrated, I really get my hackles up [and I didn't even know I had hackles].

Pretty much everybody gets skewered here - The Beatles, Elvis (both of them, Presley and Costello), The Clash, U2. And the list goes on. I'd like to take their bangers and mash and shove them ...

Deep breaths, deep breaths.

Not that all the bands on this list aren't at least a little worthy of our criticism, but please.
